In a puzzling turn of events akin to the recent exorbitant hikes in tuition fees by the nation’s corrupted and ineffectual state universities – some inflating by a staggering four hundred percent – the recent surge in fuel prices and road tolls by ZERA and ZINARA has raised eyebrows. Contrary to the prevailing notion of sanctions being the cause, a resounding no echoes through the debate. So, what precisely propels the relentless escalation of prices for essential commodities and services within the nation’s borders? The verminous, exploitative, and dismissive ruling party, ZANU PF, bemoans and laments sanctions, yet the actual triggers lie elsewhere.

However, fasten your seatbelts as this is merely a prologue to a greater saga. Brace for a continued onslaught of inflated prices, the consequences of senile Scarfmore’s controversial regime – a regime deemed pestilential, parasitic, predatory, and illegitimate. His laughable endeavors, from the introduction of futile currency to the ill-conceived notion of gold coins, remain and will continue to be futile. The ruling party and its senile cohorts have commandeered authority without the populace’s mandate, and the people suffer due to their flagrant disregard for welfare, evident in the deprivation of fundamental rights such as healthcare, shelter, clean water, and education.

The populace, oppressed under coerced obedience, grapple not only with the forfeiture of constitutional privileges, systematically undermined by ZANU PF’s reprehensible actions, but also endure brutality and intimidation. The party manipulates and violates the constitution, an instrument meant to uphold transparency, judicial autonomy, equality before the law, and separation of powers. ZBC, a propaganda mouthpiece manipulated by illegitimate ZANU PF, incessantly broadcasts narratives, while ironically its own workforce languishes unpaid. Similarly, the demoralized police force, ensnared in abject poverty, bears the brunt of the regime’s mismanagement.

The core issue, that of illegitimate governance, is inherently intertwined with the friction between the rule of law and the perverse desires of ZANU PF. The party’s ambition is to dismantle the former, replacing it with a monolithic regime devoid of accountability, equitable distribution of authority, and judicial autonomy. This transformation facilitates unbridled plundering and self-aggrandizement, starkly demonstrated by the abuse of state resources, such as the coerced cooperation of ZBC personnel and the complicit military and police forces.

In essence, attributing the escalating toll fees and fuel costs to sanctions only obscures the true narrative. The undercurrents of illegitimate governance, marked by its contemptuous rule, fueled by self-interest and avarice, remain the driving force behind the nation’s economic turmoil. As the people bear the weight of this insidious regime, one thing is clear: the solution lies not in external factors, but in the dismantling of an oppressive, illegitimate rule, and the restoration of genuine governance that places the welfare of the nation above personal gain.

  1. Despite the challenging political climate, this article fearlessly speaks out against injustice and oppression. It reminds us of the importance of upholding democratic values and fighting against illegitimate rule for the betterment of society.

  2. This article is nothing but a tirade against the ruling party, ZANU PF, without offering any constructive solutions. Blaming the government for every economic issue without considering external factors like sanctions is biased and unhelpful.

  3. The author’s language is excessively inflammatory and derogatory towards the government. Resorting to name-calling like ‘senile Scarfmore’ undermines the credibility of the argument and detracts from any valid points that may have been made.
