The Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) is hunting down Andreas Ethan Mathibela, the chairman of the Zimbabwe National War Veterans Association. Mathibela has become a “person of security interest” and is being closely watched by the CIO. This organisation is run by the State Security Minister and is directly linked to the President’s Office. They have sent messages to immigration officers across the country, telling them not to let Mathibela leave Zimbabwe. The reason is simple – the government sees him as a threat.

Mathibela is not just any war veteran. He is one of the leaders who have been boldly speaking out against President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Mathibela and other war veterans have had enough of Mnangagwa’s rule and have openly demanded that he step down. They say that he has failed the country and that it is time for change. But speaking out like this in Zimbabwe comes with serious risks, and now Mathibela is paying the price.

This all comes at a time when the political situation in Zimbabwe is getting worse. The tension within ZANU PF is growing every day. There are two big factions fighting against each other. One side supports Mnangagwa, and the other supports Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga. These two men were once allies, but now they are locked in a power struggle. It is no secret that they both want to be in control, and their supporters are clashing more and more openly.

As these two factions fight for power, the country suffers. The government is not focused on fixing the economy or helping struggling citizens. Instead, they are busy with their internal battles. This is causing more and more people to lose faith in the ruling party. The leadership succession issue has created a big problem, and it shows that ZANU PF is crumbling from the inside.

In the middle of all this chaos, another war veterans leader, Blessed Geza, has taken a bold step. He has called for a popular uprising to remove Mnangagwa from power on March 31. This call for action has raised the stakes and added more pressure to an already explosive situation. The government is clearly shaken by this, and they are trying to crack down on anyone who speaks against the president.

War veterans were once some of Mnangagwa’s biggest supporters, but now they are leading the charge against him. This shift shows just how much support he has lost, even among those who used to stand by him. The fact that the CIO is now hunting Mathibela proves that the government is feeling threatened. They know that the people are angry, and they are desperate to hold onto power.

The crackdown on Mathibela and other war veterans will not stop the call for change. People are tired of suffering under Mnangagwa’s rule. They are tired of corruption, poor living conditions, and the lack of jobs. They are tired of a government that only thinks about itself while the people suffer.

It is clear that ZANU PF is not as strong as it once was. The internal fights and the loss of support from war veterans are signs that the party is falling apart. The more they crack down on dissent, the more they reveal how weak they really are.

As March 31 approaches, all eyes will be on Zimbabwe. Will people answer Blessed Geza’s call and rise up against Mnangagwa? Or will the government crush dissent as they always do? Whatever happens, one thing is clear: Zimbabweans are ready for change. They are tired of a government that only serves itself and ignores the people’s suffering.

Mathibela’s fight is a symbol of the growing resistance against the dictatorship that has ruled Zimbabwe for far too long. The people are watching, waiting, and hoping for a new dawn. The CIO may be hunting Mathibela, but they cannot hunt down the desire for change that is growing in the hearts of Zimbabweans.
